The Viceroy of India

The Viceroy of India

www.viceroy.food-passion.co.uk

I have been to quit a few Indian restaurants in and around Swansea.  My favourite restaurant is “the Viceroy of India”.  The Staff is very friendly and welcoming and the food is prepared to such a high standard that I keep going back to “the Viceroy” if I fancy a Indian meal.  As I am a “German chef”, i know good cuisine and don`t like second best.  My favourite dish is the”Goan Roast Duckling”, as I am a great lover of “Duck-dishes”in any shape or form.  If you fancy a Glass (or better, a bottle) of Wine with your meal, you have a great choice of different Wines to choose from of theWine-list.  You wont have to rush your meal in between Courses either (like in some other restaurants) .  The Waiters give you plenty of time to finish your “starter” before serving your “main Course”.  So if you want a great meal and a great time out visit “the Viceroy”.

Food was amazing. Never had anything like their tandoori trout before. Best fish I have ever eaten. I loved that. The atmosphere was extraordinary, lots of rough old ceilings beams exposed, and old gray stone walls, and it was still warm and cozy. It is a converted church. I loved that…

Dining

Papa Sanchos Stonegrill Restaurant

papasoutsideweb356.jpg

This new concept to Swansea, and the first in Wales, has hit the ground running. The atmosphere here is relaxed and fun, and it’s your chance to be a chef without any of the work. It really is a unique dining experience.

Stonegrill dining is very healthy: your selection, whether it be steak, seafood, mixed grill, satay, chicken, is seared, then placed on specially selected volcanic stones which retain their heat of up to 400°C. This keeps all the juices and nutrients sealed in, and as soon as you are ready, just slice as you like and cook to perfection – it couldn’t be
easier.

There are plenty of vegetarian options, such as wild mushroom risotto (£8.95), or Mediterranean Vegetable stir fry (£7.95), and a children’s menu too (from £3.50).

The Wild Swan!

If you fancy spending a few more pennies on a tasty night out and would like to see your meal being prepaired before your eyes I recomend the Wild Swan! great chinese & cantonese food and a respectable wine list ensures a good night out everytime!white swan
